During our busy lives, it’s easy to forget to stop and appreciate the beauty around us. As most of us race from place to place, head in our phone or mentally planning out every second before the ticket runs out on the car, post office closes and needing to go to the supermarket, we haven’t got time to stop and smell the flowers.

At TFM., we recently had the delightful opportunity to join Nantwich Mayor, Stephanie Wedgwood, and the passionate organisers of ‘Nantwich In Bloom’ as we embarked on an exploration of the town’s flowery wonders. During our conversation with Stephanie, her pride as the mayor of this stunning historic town was unmistakable. She shared with a beaming smile:

Stephanie expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain Nantwich’s picturesque appearance.

“Our volunteers are the unsung heroes who keep Nantwich looking the way it does and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication.

“New volunteers are always welcomed with open arms and, of course, opened garden gloves”.

Stephanie emphasised that fresh faces and helping hands are crucial to sustaining the town’s beauty and welcoming spirit.

With great pride, the Nantwich In Bloom team work tirelessly to create a picturesque landscape that captivates both locals and visitors alike. From vibrant hanging baskets adorning the charming streets to stunning floral arrangements in the shops, Nantwich blooms with colours that evoke a sense of wonder.

As we wandered through the town, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the artistic displays that seamlessly blend with the town’s historic

architecture. The floral tapestry seems to harmonise with the old-world charm of Nantwich, creating a perfect fusion of tradition and nature.

We walked from one end of town to the other, finishing in the town centre where blooming flower beds and manicured gardens offer a soothing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a gentle reminder that nature’s beauty is at our doorstep, waiting to be appreciated.

The dedication and passion of the whole town and wider community shines through every petal and their commitment to preserving the town’s natural beauty is commendable. It’s heart-warming to witness a community coming together to nurture and celebrate the essence of floral Nantwich.
